Monday, July 19– The Music of ABBA with Arrival from Sweden

**$78 per person (7:00pm reception/8:00pm show)

You know the songs. Whether they bring you back to your days in the disco, or whether you fell in love with the music after seeing the Broadway and box office smash hit “Mama Mia,” the timeless rock-pop of ABBA has been an undeniable force on the American music scene for decades. Now see these beloved songs come to life as the most renowned ABBA tribute band, Arrival, takes the Vilar Performing Arts Center stage. Arrival’s show, titled “The Music of ABBA,” not only pays homage to the high-energy rock songs of the band, but this all-live, 12-person show is the most accurate and renowned tribute to ABBA touring today. Arrival has exclusive permission from original ABBA wardrobe designer Owe Sandström to use identical versions of his one-of-a-kind outfits. The band even boasts two original ABBA members – guitarist Finn Sjöberg and drummer Roger Palm. Arrival performs all of ABBA’s greatest hits with authenticity and authority, including “Dancing Queen,” “Waterloo,” “Mama Mia” and “Take a Chance on Me,” to name a few.

Monday, August 25– Herbie Hancock

**$118 per person (7:00pm reception/8:00pm show)

Herbie Hancock is a true icon of modern music. In celebration of his 70th Birthday, the “Imagine Project” tours the country, starting at the Newport Jazz Festival and ending at the Hollywood Bowl. His performance in Beaver Creek is an experience not to be missed. Throughout his musical explorations, Hancock has transcended limitations and genres while maintaining his unmistakable voice. With an illustrious career spanning five decades and 12 Grammy Awards (including the 2007 Album of the Year for River: The Joni Letters) he continues to amaze audiences. Few artists in the music industry have had more influence on acoustic and electronic jazz and R&B than Herbie Hancock. As the immortal Miles Davis said in his autobiography, "Herbie was the step after Bud Powell and Thelonious Monk, and I haven't heard anybody yet who has come after him."
